Biography
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who utilizes a Humanistic, Gestalt style approach with my clients to help them sit in their emotions and connect with the mind and body in order to achieve healing. I am well versed in a variety of modalities; however, I believe every individual is unique. Thus, I’m able to connect differently to the needs of the individual. My expertise lies with adolescents, young adults and adults struggling with behavior issues, such as: impulsivity, emotional distress, and trauma. Also, I enjoy working with couples and healing through communicating and connecting. I believe in nurturing the individual through self-awareness, which in turn strengthens the relationship with friend/partner/mother/sibling, etc. I received my BA in Behavioral Sciences with an emphasis in Sociology from Concordia University in 2011 and a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I have dedicated much of my clinical work in helping adolescents and young adults cope with depression, anxiety, behavior issues, trauma, stress management and women's issues. I’ve been working in the Mental Health field for over ten years and enjoy being a part of an individual’s journey in life.
