Therapists may address issues such as: sexual or emotional abuse, death, divorce or separation, or academic and behavioral problems. Play therapy is often used to help teach children how to better cope with these problem areas.

Family therapy is a treatment developed to help families address conflicts, communication patterns, functioning and mental health issues among the members in the family system.

Oftentimes, therapists will address differing parenting styles or conflict between parents and children.  Family members may learn and develop healthier boundaries with one another.

Our therapists work with couples to help improve their communication with one another, increase trust, and enhance their physical and emotional intimacy.  Therapists may discuss ways to manage the distress in the couple’s relationship.

Some of these distressful events may include: infidelity, issues around intimacy, substance use, conflicts in parenting, stage of life changes, and impasses in communication.
