Biography
My name is Marwa and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I chose a helping profession because I value healthy relationships and understand the importance of social support and connection. I believe that as human beings, we all yearn for love and connection. I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome anxiety, depression, PTSD, relational issues, and other psychological challenges. I earned both my M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology (MFT) From CSUSB and National University.
My therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Active Parenting training, and a Multicultural Therapeutic Approach. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic space filled with unconditional positive regard, focused on compassion, and building resilience. I am fluent in both Arabic and English and have experience working with refugees, recent immigrants, and minority populations. My collaborative, and compassionate approach will guide you in managing life’s challenges and developing a healthier self. By listening to your concerns and goals, I am here to guide you to a place of growth and within a safe environment.
